Supporting a Better Club Experience
Club soccer is the heart of US Soccer and programs at the U5, U6, U8 and U10 level are the roots of the game. In fact, 62% of all players in the United States are under the age of ten and the three most populated age groups are U8, U6, and U10 respectively. At these younger age levels club soccer is very much a “family experience”, with Mom and Dad fully engaged. Not only are they parent cheerleaders but many times they are the parent coaches entrusted with the early development of the team. Club administrators across the country rely upon the volunteer parent coach to provide the younger players with their early soccer development; this can be scary for many moms and dads. This is especially the case if they have never played or coached the game before and they are now asked to be part of the child’s early soccer education.
With this in mind Xara has developed a series of four educational soccer programs that can be used by parent coaches to develop young players while enhancing the soccer experience for everyone. Each program provides not only an age appropriate approach to the game but also, a skill appropriate approach to the game. This allows for the natural growth and progression of everyone involved. Whether you are a player, coach, parent or administrator these educational programs will add value to your soccer experience and are an integral part of Xara’s effort to help turn your season from a “Season of Games into a Lifetime of Memories”.
